Vinayagar Serial Whatsapp Status video

Lord Ganesha is the most popular Hindu deity. He is wor start of any action or venture because he is revered as the Lord who removes obstacles (vignam), and thus is also known as Vigneshwara. He has four arms and an elephant head.

He holds the pasa (noose) and ankusam in his upper hands. The abhaya and varada mudras are held in the lower two hands. In addition, he is seen holding a broken tusk in his right lower hand and a modhakam in his left lower hand. He has a large stomach and enjoys various sweets and fruits.

He has a sanke ornament around his stomach. He is shown in seated, standing, and dancing positions.

He is considered a bachelor, but another school of thought believes he has two Sakthis - Siddhi and Buddhi. Siddhi is a symbol of success and prosperity. Buddhi stands for wisdom. His vahana is a miniature mouse. He is also known as Ganapati (the head of Siva ganas), Gajanana (the elephant-faced one), and Vigneshwara (one who removes obstacles)

Gajamugasuran's Story

Gajamugasuran was the name of an asura. He performed penance and worshipped Lord Siva, who bestowed upon him several boons that enabled him to become extremely powerful. He caused a lot of trouble for the Devas and rishis. He made the Devas perform 1008 Thoeppukaranams in the morning, 1008 in the afternoon, and 1008 at night. (Thoepukaranam means to sit and stand with crossed hands on one's ears, left ear with right hand and right ear with left hand.)

Lord Siva was prayed to by the Devas to save them from this evil asura. Lord Siva dispatched Lord Vinayaga to defeat Gajamugasuran. Vinayagar carried a variety of weapons, including a bow and arrow, a sword, an axe, and so on. However, because Gajamugasuran had been granted the boon that he would be destroyed by no weapon, none of Lord Vinayaga's weapons were effective. Vinayagar severed his right tusk and used it to murder Gajamugasuran.

Gajamugasuran arrived in the form of a mooshikam at Vinayaga (small mouse). Vinayagar sat on the mooshikam, crushing Gajamugasuran's ego and vanity. Gajamugasuran bowed in front of Vinayagar, who accepted the mooshikam as his vahana.

Lord Vinayaka is the source of all knowledge. He crushed his ego and vanity to the size of a mooshikam and used it as his vahana. Doing Thoepukaranam can please Lord Vinayagar.

Prayer Forms

Lord Vinayaga is regarded as the first and foremost God. He is the son of Lord Shiva and Parvathi, and the brother of Lord Muruga. He is worshipped for removing all obstacles with his five hands and elephant head.

Monday (Somavar) is the best day to offer prayers. Hara Sadurthi, Sukla Sadurthi, and Vinayagar Shasti are all Margazhi festivals.
